Hyundai launched a slightly improved version of the Azera sedan at the Chicago Auto Show this week. We first felt the changes made in the back of the Azera 2011 in December '09 when Hyundai launched its South Korean twin domestic sedan market, Grandeur, in the form of its facelifted.
Both the 3.3-liter and 3.8-liter V6 engine 2011 Azera has been enhanced with the use of Dual Variable Valve Timing Continues (DCVVT) that increase the breathing machine in the intake and exhaust camshaft for the fuel economy is better and lower emissions.
Earlier versions of the V6 engine only has CVVT on the intake camshaft. Furthermore, the two engines benefit from the introduction of a new six-speed automatic transmission with manual control SHIFTRONIC
Unit 3.3-liter V6 now produces 250 horsepower is estimated at 6200 rpm and 233 lbs.-ft. torque at 4500 rpm, up from 234 hp and 226 lb-ft in the model 2010. With this machine, 2011 Azera returns an estimated 20 mpg city / 29 mpg highway (2010MY: 18mpg and 26mpg respectively).
The 3.8-liter V6 churning out larger 272 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 262 lbs.-ft. torque at 4500 rpm, with returns 18 mpg city / 28 mpg highway. 263HP The 2010 Azera's 3.8-liter V6 engine returned 17mpg city and 26mpg highway.
2011 Azeras receive a new front fascia with round fog lamps, plus a new grille and lights that help give the car a more aggressive appearance, one reminiscent of the Genesis sedan. On the back is the LED rear lights and a new bumper and trunklid. 17-inch wheels feature new designs as well. Interior changes are limited to aluminum-look trim on the center console and "Eco" indicator light on the dashboard.
