2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon view
Unlike its more plebian Honda mother ship, Acura has never sold a wagon in the U.S. Until now, that is. The all-new 2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon represents a first for the marque, which is introducing a low-slung family-hauler at a time when year-to-year sales of its RDX and MDX crossovers are up 52 and 47 percent, respectively. Odd timing? Perhaps, since the crossover segment continues to grow and the wagon segment remains niche. But, according to Acura’s assistant VP of product planning Vicki Poponi, there are two very plausible reasons why the TSX wagon may surpass its modest 4000-units-per-year forecast.
First, 15 percent of TSX sedan “leavers” — those customers who replace their TSX with something other than another TSX — shift to SUVs. As Acura sees it, there’s an opportunity to keep them in the TSX fold with a vehicle offering SUV-like versatility. Second, Acura believes the TSX wagon’s target customers — 30-plus-years-old couples with college degrees, $120,000 household income, and a child on the way — prefer greener and sportier alternatives to more fuel-thirsty and higher-riding crossovers. With EPA city/highway fuel economy numbers of 22/30 mpg and a low center of gravity that helps deliver an estimated 0.82 g of lateral grip, the TSX wagon is indeed green and sporty.
Compared to the 2011 TSX sedan on which it’s based, the wagon adds 3.6 inches of length and 1.2 inches of height, making it dimensionally larger than its main competitors, the Audi A4 Avant, BMW 328i Sport Wagon, and Volvo V50. But those bigger measurements don’t add up to a discernible cargo advantage. The TSX wagon, with 60.5 cubic feet behind the front row and 25.8 aft the second, delivers capacity on par with the others, coming closest to the BMW (60.9/25.0). That said, it’s worth noting that the TSX offers more cargo room than its crossover sibling, the Honda Accord Crosstour (51.3/25.7), and nearly as much as the RDX (60.6/27.8)

2011 Acura ZDX
The 2011 Acura ZDX is a personal sports coupe that defies categorization. With the stunning good looks of a performance coupe and the four-door convenience and comfort of a sedan, the ZDX is an enticing study in contrasts. Flexible cargo utility and multi-surface, all-season capability further broaden the ZDX’s appeal. With its sensuous curves, sharply raked roofline and bold fender flares, the segment-bending ZDX transcends the traditional distinctions between coupe, sedan and sport utility vehicle.
Visually and functionally, the Acura ZDX luxury 4-door sports coupe’s inventive “Passionate Getaway” concept defines this Acura as a completely different type of personal luxury vehicle. As the term suggests, the ZDX is designed primarily to provide a means of freedom and escape for two adults and their cargo— whether cargo is luggage for a weekend, sporting equipment or newfound antiques. As such, the ZDX is the perfect enabler of a “passionate getaway” that is simultaneously renewing and rewarding.
Powering this getaway vehicle is a responsive, efficient and clean 300-hp VTEC® V-6 engine teamed with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) that establishes the ZDX as one of the most innovative luxury vehicles on the market. The ZDX offers a highly personal sports coupe driving experience combined with off-road capability—along with the refinement and quality that Acura customers expect.
As the first start-to-finish design to come from the new Acura Design Studio in Southern California, the ZDX reflects the desires of luxury buyers who want to experience life to the fullest. Developed first and foremost as a driver’s vehicle, the ZDX offers an available Integrated Dynamics System (IDS) that provides a choice between Comfort and Sport suspension settings along with variable steering assist that allows the ZDX to effortlessly morph from a supremely comfortable highway cruiser to a formidable back-road dance partner. Developed and tuned using Germany’s famed Nürburgring road course, the ZDX chassis is more than capable of handling challenging road conditions— while still retaining off-highway capability.
From the signature Acura front grille to the artful use of strong character lines and the industry’s longest continuous glass roof, the ZDX adds a new dimension to the luxury market and sets a new standard for personal expression. This personalized style carries over to the 5-passenger interior, where premium features include a leather-accented instrument panels, sport-oriented leather front seats with heating and available ventilation, available Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition™, AcuraLink® Satellite Communication System with AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic and Weather™, and an available 10-speaker Acura/ELS Surround® Premium Audio System. Unique features include a multi-view rearview camera system, Collision Mitigating Braking System™ (CMBS™), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a blind spot information system (BSI).
The ZDX advances the definition of personal style, luxury and performance to the highest level in Acura Division history. Developed by Acura engineers in Ohio and manufactured in Alliston, Ontario, Canada, the ZDX is a significant contributor to North American productivity and jobs. And with its low-impact manufacturing, factory waste recycling programs and a significant reduction in the use of harmful materials, the ZDX is more environmentally friendly.

Acura Integra
Acura Integra
Acura Integra
The Acura Integra was a fantastic car and still is, but sadly enough it is no longer in production. The Acura Intgra is still a very sought after vehicle mainly due to its famed Type-R, GS-R engine. This was a 1.8L engine with 16 valves, belt-driven, dual overhead camshafts with Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) system that is capable of produced 195Hp @ 8000 RPM. Not too bad considering that most of the muscle machines of the 60s only produced 250Hp stock.
Now add headers, turbocharger and a cold air intake and you can push that puppy up to 350hp. The Camaro Z28, 350 LT-1 only produced 300Hp stock and the Integra is a fraction of the weight, not too shabby.
Custom Car Interiors
Painting your interior panels will dramatically increase the appearance of your cars interior. Best of all you can choose whichever color scheme you want! Most people try to match some exterior color on the interior. Follow these instructions to achieve a professional show quality interior.
Step 1 - Cleaning and Removal of Panels
The first step to take is to remove all the pieces you would like painted. On areas you cant remove from the car such as the dashboard it is extremely important to mask off the entire area around where you are painting. It is also important to leave all the doors open so that a good airflow will stop a cloud of paint from forming on the interior of the car. It will also help speed up the drying time. Once you have all pieces masked the next step is to clean each piece rigorously. It is very important that you do not leave any grease or debris on the panels that are about to be painted, otherwise the debris will be embedded underneath the paint.
Step 2 - Sanding and Contouring of Panels
The second step to take is contouring or sanding the pieces about to be painted. Depending on the finish you would like to achieve this step may be bypassed. Personally we usually like to have a nice smooth surface finish on most of our interior pieces. To achieve this you must start with a semi course sandpaper such as 800 grit. Make sure than when you are sanding each individual piece you do so evenly. Once you have removed the majority of bumps and indents in the plastic panels the next step is to move onto a finer grade paper. We suggest at least 1000 grit paper. Simply complete the same as was done with the 800 grit paper and move on to finishing sandpaper to complete the process.
Step 3 - Applying the Primer
This step should not be overlooked as the primer will help point out any mistakes you have made with the sanding. It will also help the actual base paint adhere better to the finish. Simply hold the primer can about 8 inches away from the surface to be painted and begin spraying in slightly overlapping strokes. Once you have applied a thin coat let each piece fully dry. This should take anywhere between 10 minutes and 30 minutes depending on he thickness of coating you have applied. Once the piece have fully dried check for any areas that appear to be uneven. If it is necessary continue to sand these areas with finishing sandpaper and repeat the priming step
Step 4 - Applying the Base Coat
Once you are completely satisfied with the finish of your primed pieces the next step is to apply the base coat. Try to purchase automotive exterior paint form your local auto supply store. This paint tends to work the best for painting car pieces. Its best to stay away from universal type spray paints. Once you are ready begin the painting process by applying several light coats. Wait at least 15 minutes between coats for best results. Its always better to apply several thin coats than a couple of thick coats. Once you have finished the base coat the next process is to let the pieces dry overnight so that they can properly cure.
Step 5 - Applying the Clear Coat
The second last step to take in painting your panels is to apply a good quality automotive clear coat to each of the pieces. The stage should not be overlooked as it will provide a super smooth and tough finish to each of your painted pieces. Once you have applied several coats of clear coat it may take several days before the pieces are properly cured. It is very important not to rush the drying process. The longer you let your pieces dry the better finish you will probably achieve.
Step 6 - Rubbing Compound and Finishing Wax
The final process for the painted pieces is to finish them off with a good rubbing compound. Simply apply the rubbing compound to a clean cloth and apply rigorously to the painted panels. Wipe off all excess compound and you are readying for the final step. The final step is to apply a single coat of good car wax. This will give your interior pieces an excellent mirror finish and great shine. Simply install the pieces back into place and your done!!!

Press Release:
The open-top GranCabrio is pure Maserati. It is a Maserati in the truest sense, with an unmistakable Pininfarina design, spacious interior, handcrafted details, driving pleasure and high performances. The Maserati GranCabrio touches all five senses in an open-air experience that retains all the typical comfort and performance brio. Like all Maserati”s open-top models, the GranCabrio is a special car intended for true connoisseurs.
The GranCabrio continues in the footsteps of the Maserati tradition in open-top models, and adds to a line-up of models that has made the history of the Modena manufacturer, such as the 1950 A6G Frua Spyder, the 3500GT Vignale Spyder (1960), the Mistral Spyder (1964), the Ghibli Spyder (1968) and the 2001 Spyder, the car Maserati chose for his comeback to the United States.
True to its tradition, the Maserati GranCabrio yet opens a new chapter, because never before have four-seater top-down models been produced at the Viale Ciro Menotti Maserati factory in Modena. There are four proper seats are provided, so that the rear passengers are not merely supporting actors, but co-stars of the journey.
The Maserati GranCabrio is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine paired with the fluid 6-speed automatic transmission. In Sport mode, the V8 gives the driver and passengers the full power of its 323kW, with a thrilling roar that becomes even more exciting with the top down, as it becomes one with its surroundings.
Completely re-engineered
The body of the Maserati GranCabrio has been thoroughly overhauled. Despite the lack of an overhead frame and a wheelbase at the top of its class (2.942mm: longer than its direct competitors) it guarantees the best possible performance in terms of structural rigidity. This enhances the smooth handling, safety and comfort of the car, and fully exploits the powerful, efficient mechanics.
The newly-designed bearing monocoque has been made using materials and technologies designed especially to optimize weight: the bonnet and cross beams are made from aluminum, while the boot is made from SMC (Sheet Molding Compound).

The newly-designed bearing monocoque has been made using materials and technologies designed especially to optimize weight: the bonnet and cross beams are made from aluminum, while the boot is made from SMC (Sheet Molding Compound).
The excellent weight distribution (with higher load at the rear) also facilitates excellent on-the-road dynamics and improved safety, in combination with the vehicle”s control systems. These include, for the first time ever, the Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), which optimizes brake performance both in frequent use and in emergency situations.
The new body took thousands of hours of calculations, testing and development. The result of all this work is a static rigidity at the top of its class (75000 DaN/m/rad) and dynamic torsional frequency of 27.2 Hz.
Particular attention has been paid to developing the aerodynamics, with the creation of a flat aluminum base that not only adds to the overall body”s rigidity but also reduces Cx by 6 points. In this way, for the first time, the convertible version of a car is able to maintain the same aerodynamic performance of the coupé, with a Cx of 0.35.
An all-round experience
Behind the wheel of the Maserati GranCabrio, driving fun combines with comfort and safety in all road conditions. With the longest wheelbase in its segment, the Maserati GranCabrio gives all passengers an extremely comfortable ride even on long journeys. Their safety is enhanced thanks to the extendable roll bars behind the rear seats, which are activated if necessary.

Their safety is enhanced thanks to the extendable roll bars behind the rear seats, which are activated if necessary.
Passenger comfort onboard the Maserati GranCabrio also comes from the perfect integration between the vehicle”s hood and its main systems, guaranteeing maximum efficiency and drivability in all conditions. The automatic dual-zone climate control function optimizes the conditions inside the car, adjusting the internal temperature and the intensity of ventilation depending on the outside temperature, heat of the sun, and air humidity.
By capitalizing on the close collaboration between Maserati engineers and BOSE technicians on the GranTurismo, the GranCabrio has been equipped with a BOSE audio system that adds another dimension to open-air music.
The Maserati GranCabrio is fitted with Skyhook suspension as standard. The braking system uses high performance dual-cast technology, developed in collaboration with Brembo and already successfully employed on the GranTurismo and Quattroporte.
The GranCabrio”s roof is strictly canvas-made, emphasizing the link with the Maserati tradition.
Aerodynamic, aero-acoustic efficiency and the desire to make the GranCabrio a car suitable for all year driving are the principles which led the Maserati technicians to develop a three-layer canvas hood. Not only does it offer ample opportunities for customization, but it also adds considerable benefits in terms of on-the-road dynamics, as the car”s centre of gravity is lower. In 28 seconds, passengers can enjoy the thrill of the open-air experience, activating the open/close mechanism even when the car is moving, at speeds of up to 30km/h.

Maserati GranTurismo 2011 Convertible
The GranTurismo Convertible is blassed with the top-hole GranTurismo S automatic coupe 433-hp, 4.7-liter V8 and ZF six speed manual transmission. Maserati traded the elegant sweep of the GT’s C-pillars for the trim greenhouse of an Aston Martin or a Bantley.
