How to Replacing Tires? Find 5 Simply Steps | Auto Tips

Tire treads are functioned as means to divert water beneath the tire in order to improve the grip and evade wet roads’ hydroplaning. So, the tires become unsafe when they are worn. How do we know when your tires need to be replaced? Here is how.
1. Look at the tread pattern. Look at the tread pattern and you’ll see the beginnings of these bars start to form between the treads, or running across the tires. When the tires wear, small bridges that form between tire treads these bars will flush either level or flattened with the tire’s tread.
2. Check the tread by using a penny. Place it upside down with Lincoln facing you at the tire’s thickest part. When you can see Lincoln’s head top you need to replace the tires right away. It also applies when Lincoln’s hair on the top of his head is partially visible.
3. Use a tread depth indicator or gauge to measure your tires’ tread. You can purchase from an auto parts dealer.
4. Alternatively, it might be easier to pop in to your regular tire place and ask them to check it for you; likely they’ll do this for free if you’re regular customer.
5. Replacement should be done at least every 6 years. You need to check the owner’s manual for specific tire recommendations related to your car.
